February TBR

Even though February is a short month, I'm planning to pack it with a ton of books that I am extremely hopeful to finish by the end of the month. Here's my late February TBR without further ado!

Invisible Man by Ralph Ellison

For Black History Month, my friend and I typically read a classic by a Black author, and this month we picked Invisible Man. The first chapter of the book, popularly known as "Battle Royal," is the most well-known section of the book. I read that chapter in one of my American literature survey classes, so I'm excited to see what the rest of the book is like.

The Round House by Louise Erdrich

This is the February pick for The Stacks Book Club! I'm hoping to stay on top of my game and finish this book by the episode goes live on February 22. I know Erdrich is a very popular author, but I have somehow never read anything by her before, so I'm excited to read a new author this month!

The Worst Best Man by Mia Sosa

What would February be without a romance in this list? My sorority's book club wanted to read a romance, and we chose from a list of Black romances to read for this month as a theme. I don't know much about this aside from a wedding planner planning her ex's wedding, so bring all the mess (and romance)!

Marie Antoinette: Princess of Versaille, Austria - France, 1769 by Kathryn Lasky

To continue with my personal reading challenge, I'm reading the Royal Diary of Marie Antoinette. I have no memory of reading this one as a child, so this will be something new unlike the Elizabeth I one I read last month.

When They Call You a Terrorist: A Black Lives Matter Memoir by Patrisse Khan-Cullors and Asha Bandele

This book has been on my shelf for a year or maybe two, and I thought that this was the time to finally pull it off of my shelf. I have another reading goal to read more from my own shelf (even though I am constantly adding to it - oops), and this happened to grab my eye because of the pretty colors on the cover!

Daisy Jones & the Six by Taylor Jenkins-Reid

I feel like everyone is reading this before the series comes out on Prime Video on March 3, and I am not ashamed to say I am one of them. I read The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo last year and *loved* it, so I'm excited to read more TJR! The sneak peeks I've been seeing of the series from Reese's Book Club are making me more excited about what the book is like.

Royal Holiday by Jasmine Guillory

I am honestly not sure if I will get to this one, but I am planning to continue reading The Wedding Date series when I can! I have loved the last three books, and I can't wait to see how Guillory writes a holiday romance novel!
