The beginning of this month has been super hectic for me, so I'm just now getting around to sharing my March TBR with you all! I have a pretty ambitious reading month set up, but I'm hoping I get to everything so I can read even more great books this year.
The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah
My friend and I picked this for our classics book club this month because of Women's History Month, and it's such a treat that we also get to read it along with Reese's Book Club, since it was picked this month! I'm about 15% through right now, and I'm enjoying it. WWII historical fiction is one of my favorite genres, so I'm really excited to continue reading.
The Undying by Anne Boyer
Since I already read The Stacks Book Club book for this month, Bad Feminist by Roxane Gay, I decided to read a backlist pick and listen the episode when I get the chance. I already finished reading this one, and I'll have a review on the blog soon! It's a really different memoir about the author's experience with breast cancer.
The Martian by Andy Weir
My sorority friends and I are reading science fiction for the first time in a while! One of my sisters has been raving about The Martian for as long as I can remember, so we decided to finally make it a pick. I've heard nothing but good things about Weir and his writing, and I'm hoping to also watch the film adaptation with my sorority sisters too.
Get Your Sh*t Together by Sarah Knight
This book has been on my shelves the longest of any of my books. I don't remember when I got it, but I remember getting it for Christmas years ago, but I never found the time to read it (maybe that's why my shit is not together). With starting a new job this month, I wanted to read something that would help me find a new routine, and I figured this would be a good guide.
Royal Holiday by Jasmine Guillory
Yes, this was on February's TBR, but I ended up reading a different book that recently came out from another series I had started, so I'm carrying this book onto this month's TBR. I'm really hoping I get to this one because I love Guillory's writing, and after reading The Undying, I need something a little lighter.
Isabel: Jewel of Castilla, Spain, 1466 by Carolyn Meyer
Another month, another Royal Diaries book! This is a woman in history that I'm actually not familiar with, so I'm excited to read this and also learn about her in the historical notes in the back of the book.
Tiny Beautiful Things by Cheryl Strayed
This book is another self-help adjacent book that I think I will enjoy and help me figure out this next chapter of my life. It's also being adapted into a series on Hulu by Reese Witherspoon, after being selected for her book club in November 2022. The show starts streaming on April 7, so I'm hoping to finish reading it before then!
Nora Goes Off Script by Annabel Monaghan
I had a friend and her mom who recently recommended this, and I trust their book recommendations whole-heartedly, so I thought I would add it to my list once I saw there was a hold line for it at the library.
Spare by Prince Harry
This book wasn't originally going to be on this list, but it finally became available to me through my digital library, so I checked it out! I'm about a 1/3 of the way through it and learning A LOT about Prince Harry and the Royal Family in general.
What book(s) are you hoping to read this month? I'd love to know in the comments!
