My Trip to Tasi Cafe

During Indie Bookstore Day, my friend and I needed to refuel from all of the walking around and skimming bookshelves for our next additions to our personal libraries. We went to Tasi Cafe in the Short North of Columbus, Ohio, and it was so good! Here is what I got and my thoughts on it!

I started with a Peach Mimosa, and I honestly never thought of mimosas coming with different flavors. I knew you could swap out the juice, which is nice because I'm not typically a fan of orange juice, but this mimosa was delightful. I liked how the peach wasn't overpowering and the champagne was also still present in the flavor. A lot of the champagne was at the bottom of the glass, so when I was finishing the last of it, I was primarily tasting champagne, which isn't my favorite thing to drink either.

For the actual food portion, I ordered the Challah French Toast. It came with syrup, powdered sugar, and caramelized bananas. I was hesitant about the bananas at first because I'm not usually a fan of them without peanut butter (weird but it's who I am and what I like), but these were actually sooooo good. I didn't eat all of the bananas because it started to taste a little medicinal to me after a while and the texture was harder to chew with bigger pieces of banana, but with the French toast itself, it was really delightful.

I honestly would come back here! The menu is really large, and it seems like I could go a ton of times and not have the same thing once, which is always great to have variety because it means there's something for everyone!

What is your favorite brunch place? I'd love to know so maybe I can eat there sometime!
