The Bachelor Recap: Weeks 6 & 7

*There are spoilers to Weeks 6 & 7 of The Bachelor in this post!*

This is so long overdue, but we're finally heading into hometowns! Zach has four lucky women left: Charity, Gabi, Arielle, and Kaity. I like all of these women, even though I am more loyal to Charity and Kaity. Overall, I have really loved this season. The romance is more of the focus than the drama, and personally, I've liked that more. Even though some of the episodes have been more predictable than they have been in the past, I've always loved watching the dates and seeing the different countries they explore each season.

Week 6 wasn't super memorable for me. I honestly don't remember much aside from Kat taking Zach aside before Charity's one-on-one and making out with him, and Brooklyn was calling her out on it (rightfully so). I do think Brooklyn, after that initial action, was taking it too far by stepping into Kat's and Charity's conversation at the cocktail party. Brooklyn's role in that specific conversation was unnecessary, and it was just not a good move on her part. I do remember Greer being absent for this episode because she was quarantining for COVID in Budapest.

This past week was a crucial week because it's a rather large elimination before hometowns, where families begin to get involved and there is a lot more one-on-one time between Zach and the women. The one thing that happened that I was really surprised about was Zach sending Brooklyn home during the night portion of their one-on-one. I didn't see that coming at all, but I respect Zach's reason for sending her home. I do think that Brooklyn was getting a Bachelorette edit, and I think she would be great for it. She will definitely be in Paradise if she isn't the next Bachelorette.

I'm most surprised about seeing Arielle in the final four. I feel like I don't know her well enough or have seen enough of her and Zach's connection to feel like I know why she's made it this far, but that could just be a lack of screen time. I'm really excited for all four women though!

My favorites this season are Kaity and Charity, and I'm hoping that Charity is the next Bachelorette if she doesn't end up with Zach. I have a marquee sign in my living room that says "Charity for Bachelorette" if that means anything lol. This week is also a double-header with the Women Tell All, and I am surprised they are doing it this early because if I remember correctly, it's usually after fantasy suites so the person eliminated is also there. I'm excited to see what happens this week!

Who are you hoping becomes the next Bachelorette? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
