The Bachelorette Recap: Weeks 7 & 8

*Warning: There are spoilers to Weeks 7 & 8 of The Bachelorette in this post!*

Last week, I couldn't post my normal The Bachelorette recap since I was at a concert with my family (more to come on that maybe), but I'm happy to be back! These were two very big, very fun episodes: Fantasy Suites and Men Tell All. Let's dive in right in without further delay!

Week 7: Fantasy Suites

We'll start with last week's episode with fantasy suites. I was very intrigued that Xavier's came first with the catastrophic ending that just seemed like a snowball that escalated into an avalanche when he confessed that he was not faithful in his last relationship. I appreciated how honest and raw this conversation in the night portion of this date was, and Charity's poise through that conversation was absolutely incredible. I felt very inspired by her and how she put herself first by not settling for someone who wouldn't be able to commit to her, instead of taking it as an invitation to try harder (I'm guilty of that one). I thought Joey's and Dotun's fantasy suites were so wholesome, so presh, and I love seeing these relationships transpire on my screen every Monday.

The other thing I didn't like about fantasy suites was Aaron B. making his way back into the journey (possibly; boo cliffhangers!!). I can empathize with Aaron B. and wanting to find that closure or feeling like everything feels very unfinished, but I don't know if I would go to the extent of flying to Fiji and confessing my love for someone that sent me home for a reason. I think the best thing to do is just accept Charity's decision, as hard it as it would be at first, and believe that there's something better on the way and not complicate her journey to find love further. I have not had all good vibes about Aaron B. the entire season, especially with the Brayden drama from earlier this season, and him trying to insert himself back in after she sent him home did not leave a good taste in my mouth.

Week 8: Men Tell All

This Men Tell All was so interesting because I felt like this was one of the first times that there was drama addressed that happened outside of the show that wasn't a scandal or allegations of racist behavior by a cast member. There was apparently an inside joke of sorts (not sure if this is the right word or not) that had two letters, the second being P, after some of the men's original headshot photos on Instagram/social media that targeted Peter, the pilot eliminated on night one. I had no idea about this until it was brought up on MTA, so I was a little confused but also just shocked because I feel like this is not something that would have been addressed in previous years.

I was really hoping that we would get more about Paradise instead of one random scene of Brayden making out with Kat from Zach's season. I thought there would be some more footage or even a premiere date, but there was literally nothing, and I was very disappointed about it. I understand that they have to promote The Golden Bachelor, but like this is the show of the summer!!

With that segue, we did get to meet Gerry, America's first Golden Bachelor! He seems like such a genuine, down-to-earth man, and I'm really excited to watch his season. Jesse Palmer announced that The Golden Bachelor will be premiering in September. Does this mean that The Golden Bachelor will be airing before Paradise? I'm so curious!

Next week is the finale, and I can't believe Charity's season is already coming to an end. I'm so excited to see what happens and who she ends up with and if she's engaged. Stay tuned on here to find out my thoughts!!

Have you been following this season of The Bachelorette? Do you think Charity ends up with Dotun, Joey, or Aaron B.? Let me know!
