*Warning: There are spoilers to Week 5 of The Bachelorette in this post!*
We are officially down to four men left, which means next week is my favorite week of the season: hometowns! I really like the men that are remaining, but before we get ahead of ourselves, let's talk about this past week in New Orleans (which only made me want to go more since it's one of my bucket list trips).
I was really curious to see how this week was going to work with six men and four roses to give. The two two-on-one dates were a choice, but I guess that's just how it worked out, even though one of them turned into a whole group date since Charity couldn't decide between Tanner and Sean who to give a rose to.
I thought Joey's and Charity's one-on-one was just the best thing ever. It reminded me of how much I love love, and I was crying because of how sweet he is. If Joey doesn't end up with Charity, I would consider dating him on The Bachelor, but that's a very low chance (so don't quote me on this lol). I just love them together, and I'm really looking forward to Joey's hometown date.
Dotun's and Charity's one-on-one was also super sweet. I loved how they just play off of each other and they're just really cute together. They way they make each other feel so seen and special, based on what we've seen of their relationship on screen, is so wholesome, and I'm also really hoping to see more of Dotun since he kind of came out of nowhere.
The two-on-one with Tanner and Sean was kind of awkward, but I feel like Sean's attitude about it made it hard to watch on top of the already awkwardness of the situation and how Charity didn't want to make a hasty decision of sending one of them home when she wasn't 100% sure. I really admire that about Charity, and I'm glad that she's sticking to her intuition and her heart. However, Sean acting like this whole date was just a competition and that it's important for *him* to introduce her to his family as if he's 1000000% confident that Charity wants to meet his family was just not it for me. I usually like confidence like that, but it seemed like he was making this sound like it only mattered to him, which wasn't true.
The other two-on-one date that became a group date with four men was not stimulating for me. I don't have a lot of thoughts about it because I already assumed that Aaron B. and Xavier were going to get the two remaining roses. Aaron B.'s jealousy about not getting a one-on-one, while entirely valid and justified, was just kind of weird. It's like he's always getting salty over things he can't control, and I'm just not really sure how I feel about it, but it's not something I like.
I'm so excited to see what's in store for hometowns tomorrow! Who do you hope Charity takes into fantasy suites? I'd love to know who your front-runners are!
